THE ABBEY SANGHA 2009
Training to cultivate a monastic mind is a priority for the monastic community. Learning new communication skills, sharing the Dharma with the world, and studying the Vinaya— the monastic rules of discipline—keep the community on its toes.

A number of the Abbey sangha participated in the yearly gathering of Western Buddhist Monastics. This year it was held at the City of 10,000 Buddhas, an amazing home of a thriving sangha and lay community in California. Ven. Chodron is front center. Ven. Semkye second row second from left, Ven.
