THE NATURAL BEAUTY OF THE ABBEY LAND - SUMMER 2004

Sometimes we just enjoy the beautiful environment as we go about our daily tasks caring for the land.

Sunrise at Sravasti Abbey.
Haroldina: Our truck, named with fondness after Harold, her previous owner, handles the meadow slopes and aids Chris and Nanc in combatting the knapweed.

The mother-daughter team of Susan and Renee pour over the maps of the abbey.
Forest flowers.
On the upper meadow, looking across to our neighbor Chris on the tractor, spraying the knapweed.
As we walk in the forest, we look at Mt. Pisgah, which we've renamed Mt.Tara
On the road outside the temple site that goes into the forest, looking up at the upper meadow where a stupa could be.
Deb and Nanc put up a bird house for our many feathered friends.
Ven. Chodron and Helen Ann appreciating nature's beauty.
We find lovely flowers in the forest ...

... and in the garden.

Tracy enjoys mowing the lawn on such a beautiful day.
Sunset ends another peaceful and fruitful day at the Abbey.
