Bob Van Zee’s Ashes Come Home to the AbbeyBob Van Zee’s Ashes Come Home to the Abbey (en Español)Back to 2011 GalleryThe Abbey’s wonderful Dharma friend, Bob Van Zee, who passed away in July, requested that his ashes be scattered at Sravasti Abbey. His wife Veda and granddaughter Ashley recently brought his ashes to the Abbey. We all walked together up to Sukhavati—the Land of Great Bliss—to celebrate his life, share our memories of Bob, and help scatter the ashes over the meadow. Veda and Ashley were very moved and grateful to the Abbey community. ![]() It’s a beautiful sunny day in the meadow at Sukhavati.
