Chodron traveled to Malaysia in September to participate in the World Buddhist Conference organized by Buddhist Gem Fellowship, Buddhist Missionary Society Malaysia and and the Young Buddhist Association of Malaysia. Entitled “Living in Harmony When Things Fall Apart,” the conference explored how basic Buddhist concepts can teach us to live in peace and harmony with ourselves, with our friends, and with nature. Venerable joined a line-up of “Buddhist activists” that included Ven. Master Thich Nhat Han, Ven. Wei Wu, Dr. Roshi Joan Halifax, and Anchalee Kurutac. You can read Ven.
