Je Tsong Khapa Day 2010

Je Tsong Khapa Day 2010 (en Español)

Back to 2010 Gallery

Je Tsong Khapa Day is a very special day at the Abbey. We rejoice at our great fortune to have met this great sage’s teachings through qualified spiritual teachers. We also rejoice in the generosity of our benefactors and, on this day in particular, our friends from Singapore, who continuously show their great faith in the Dharma and the Sangha.
May all their deepest aspirations come true.

Ven. Semkye lights the candle offerings.

On the wall are sheets with over 1,000 names of Singaporeans who have requested the Abbey community to dedicate for good health, a precious rebirth, overcoming
obstacles, and harmony in relationships. We read the names of all these people out loud.

Ven. Chodron reads a list of names of those for whom we dedicate our prayers and practice.

The community chants the praise and request prayer to Je Tsong Khapa as we do
serpentine walking in the meditation hall.

Ven. Chonyi and others read aloud the names of the donors.

Small tea lights surround the Buddha in the Abbey garden
at the end of this auspicious day.
